The Juniper Networks Certification Program (JNCP) consists of Junos-based and platform-specific, multi-tiered tracks, which enable you to demonstrate competence with Juniper's technology in the areas most pertinent to your job function and experience.
The JNCP features three tracks based on the Junos OS and six tracks based on platform-specific courseware. The three Junos tracks consist of:
- Service Provider Routing and Switching : this track is for those working with infrastructure or access solutions in a Juniper Networks routing and/or switching end-to-end environment primarily within the telecommunications arena or a Fortune 100 Enterprise environment.
- Enterprise Routing and Switching : this track is for those working in small through large Enterprise environments that install and support Juniper Networks technology-based networks in which LAN and WAN routers and switches reside.
- Junos Security : directed toward those who design and implement Juniper Networks secure networks.
With three new professional and expert-level options (in the SP, ENT, and SEC tracks) you now have more options to specialise based on your career goals including the first ever JNCP Professional and Expert-level credentials in enterprise switching and Junos security.
The switch to written exams at the professional level gives you the convenience of taking exams on your schedule at any of the more than 5,000 worldwide Prometric Testing Centers or as part of onsite-training engagements…no more travel and time out of the office to take an exam!
The new Professional-level exams are fully supported by comprehensive training curricula and practice tests. The exams will be a comprehensive validation of the your skills as they test on a broad range of theoretical and Junos topics. By passing the new Professional-level exams, you will demonstrate you have mastered the breadth of the Junos OS in your respective track and have the ability to choose the correct solution based on a given set of requirements.
The focus of Expert-level exams remains a live, lab-based application of Junos skills in demanding, real-world situations.

The JNCP also features six tracks based on specific Juniper Networks technologies. These tracks are aimed at professionals that make extensive use of these technologies and include E Series, Firewall/VPN, SSL, Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP), WX Series, Unified Access Control (UAC).
